Back from an amazing week at the Electrical Training Alliance's National Training Institute in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Im so excited to begin teaching apprentices in a trade I love and am passionate about. Over the next 3 years I hope to continue to gain skills for the classroom and make more lifelong connections in the IBEW. #NTI2024 #unionstrong

Final week of level 2 course, and I passed the exam I was most concerned about quite comfortably which is a great confidence booster. One more exam to go before starting the level 3 in a few weeks. Workplace experience has been vital to my learning and it can’t be replaced with solely workshop/classroom learning. Excited to start my journey in the industry full time, and finally leave the military. This is something I have worked so hard for and will continued to do and learn as much as I can. #electrical #apprentice #learning #cpd

The IOR recently published a guidance note on the new T-Levels. T-Levels are a new version of full-time, technical qualifications designed for students who have completed their GCSEs. The Building Services T Level includes a refrigeration module and is being provided through a collaboration between schools and FE colleges, combining practical hands-on learning with classroom-based education. Access the guidance note on the link in the comment section below#tlevels #refrigeration #college #furthereducation #airconditioning #heatpump #engineering

The need for CTE Instructors is needed more than ever. The skilled trades are not only a pathway to in demand jobs, but the ROI is incredible. In the nuclear sector, the demand for welders is at a critical state slowing the process of bringing new reactors online. From welding to carpentry to aviation maintenance, these skills lead to pay that leaves many 4 year college grads scratching their heads. We need to rethink how K-12 measures success and it is time to get out of standardized testing. Critical thinking with hands on experience will do more to propel our future. #cte #education https://lnkd.in/gHCEAwkR

As a CTE teacher, receiving these messages is incredibly rewarding. It is so fulfilling to train students, teach them the basics, and then see them secure employment after graduation. #CTEworks #logistics&distribution #khsd #ctec #studentsuccess

Enjoyed day 1 of PAS2080 training with 20 of my awesome #WSP colleagues, run through the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) International in the UK. We are looking at global knowledge in advanced markets to ensure we're ahead of the curve. Key takeaways: 💲 Whenever you can estimate cost, you can estimate carbon📉 It's OK to assume generic factors at the beginning🌏 Every project will be required to understand its carbon emissions impact #decarbonisation #PAS2080 #futureready
