After that, select Work Centre from the Configuration menu. and use the New button to make a new one.
To a new work center, include the following: Center name, Tag, Alternative Work Centres, Code, Working Hours, and Company Name. Under the General Information page is an option to enable Requires Login. To enable this option, the user will see a new field called Allowed Employees. The employees named there are the ones assigned to this work center; the user can choose which employees to include in this selection. These employees are in charge of supervising each order that is finished in this work center. Users can input the cost per hour for each employee who worked in the work center in the Cost per Hour section.

Bill of Materials
Let's begin by drafting a new Bill of Materials for the product's manufacturing. After choosing the product, include the components and processes. For use in the cotton production process, this BoM was created. The raw materials are the components in this case.
Here, the tasks are completed using Assembly Line 1, the previously established work center. Spinning and ginning are the two additional methods. Keep the BoM safe.
The work orders are finished on Assembly Line 1 of this specific work center. Assume for the moment that Beth Evans ought to work for Ginning, the first operation. Additionally, the employee Dories Cloe must be present for the second operation. To do this, create a new production order. To begin a new one for it, select Manufacturing Orders from the Operation menu. After adding the Cotton product, choose the recently created bill of materials. When you choose the designated bill of materials, every operation and component gets instantly reproduced there. Verifying the production order at this time.
Once the order has been verified, select the Work Order tab. There, you will see that the Second Operation is in the Waiting stage, awaiting the completion of the First Operation, while the First Operation is in the Ready state.
To complete the manufacturing process, click the Mark as Done button. After that, a smart tab labeled Cost Analysis will appear on the completed Manufacturing Order. This will show the total cost of the manufacturing order.
Operational and component costs are given separately in the Cost Analysis Report. When reviewing operating costs, work center costs and staff costs can be shown separately.
Here, Beth Evans was employed in the spinning and ginning departments. Thus, Beth Evans's cost per hour and total number of hours worked come to $23.87.and Doris Cole, the second employee, costs $3.21.hence the employee's total cost comes to $27.08.
The Work center will set you back $71.23 in total. The entire operational cost in this case is $98.32.
A competent person will be chosen to oversee an activity, which will simplify the production process. Odoo 17 now has this feature, which contributes to increased productivity.
